Earth Day celebration

Keep the Earth and environment healthy, it is not hard to go green with few simple steps in our daily routine life.
Most of the waste are produced from our kitchen:

  1. Sort out your waste: food scraps can be recycled as a compost!
  2. Paper : recycle the paper properly or use any substitute like terry towel, save the trees.
  3. Use sleep mode in PC and save energy by avoiding screen saver or switch off if u re not using frequently.

Happy Earth Day !

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hopping around blogs for MBP one pot dish event originated by coffee of spice cafe, i landed here for the recipe. Everyone makes the same upma/kichadi or kara bhaat with Rava, i substituted with vermicelli which i feel, gives a different texture or taste too...

The variation made : Vermicelli is used instead of Rava and water ratio is 1:1 1/2 cup

Kichdi

happy earth day to you!
upma looks so good & all grains are separated so fine, how did u get that texture?

Richa By adding the right ratio of water, the vermicelli cooks perfectly and the texture is soft like angel hair pasta.
