Vada pav - MBP - T & T- YRR

If you say: MC Donald, now even a kid in India easily refers to French fries and burger. Italian trademark Pizza reached all rural areas. But, how many Indian food crossed the States?
Vada pav? If I ask the question to a southie, I am not sure how many will answer it is street food or “Indian street burger”. Well that include me too, I never knew it :(
Some food never crossed the border…Chat and snacks just spotting only those recent years in southern India…
For a southie, vada or batata vada is not new, one of the street food, aloo bonda , but those beauties have never been tucked under some bun and toped with chutney! Mumbai know how to westernize the food ...That’s the way to eat a desi burger!
For this month MBP patrolling and T & T, I directly landed to Nupur’s place. Her spot is filled with all kind of food and especially a deep love shown for the regional food, A to Z Marathi food is simply awesome idea. Her recipes are simple vegetarian delights, she doesn’t stop with food, her talent is extended on beautiful knitting work too. For the Vada pav recipe, please check her warm and welcoming spot.

Only slight change: I add some butter in a hot pan and added the spicy chutney and toasted the bun. The hamburger bun sucked all the spicy chutney and it was like heaven eating those spicy Vada pav . Thank you Nupur to share this Mumbai roadside snack!

The MBP is started by coffee and this month, Sia will be selling all the Street snacks, sorry hosting! Sure i am going to discover many more snacks from your page Sia!

Tried & Tasted, an event hosted by Zlamushka , way to to appreciate our fellow blogger by trying and tasting their recipe. This month blog target is Nupur, one hot stove.

Finally, I can even say Nupur recipe Rocks! YRR Event created by Madhu especially after the rice shortage in market. The vada pav is of course very filling one !

All the 3 events have one common point, cooking from fellow blogger and appreciate it!

Till I saw this post, I did not know that one can blog about this humble footpath food! Well written indeed.

The best dhabelis are made only by genuine Kutchis, particularly if from the Ismailies. This is a great foodie community.
