Fruity iced tea & popsicle

Summertime, vegetables and fruits flood the market shelfs, in all variety of shapes and colors. Fruits are ripped, juicy and plump and the most important thing, the price is much cheaper. When you are lucky enough in US, you can go to the nearest farm and pick your own fruit! I can bet that is full of fun, picking, climbing and tasting right away the fruits from the tree.

Picture taken last year in cherry farm

In summer, all juice shops are crowded; ice cream shops extend their closing hours. Coffee shops pick up their sale in cold section. Coming to coffee and tea, I like to drink iced tea, which contained no milk and really refreshing one in hot summer days. Other than sugar , you don't need to bother about any calories! This drink is a recreation of my latest fruity bottled iced tea, which I tasted recently. The color was appealing to give out a try. The bottle version of iced tea is rasbperry flavored iced tea. But, I had strawberry in hand, I flavored my tea with strawberry, do try out with raspberry, blackberry mostly the fresh one. I know for those who cannot find those berries, try with citrus. I just made for myself who like my tea cold! So the recipe is just for one cup!

Iced Fruit tea

Ingredients:
Water: 1 cup
Tea bag of your choice: 1 num
Strawberry or any berry: 3 num if it is rasb 6 or 7 num
Sugar: 2 tsp or more if u like sugary
Lemon: 1 tsp freshly squeezed Bring to boil a cup of cold water, take your favorite tea bag, place in a cup add two tsp of sugar. Pour the water and let the tea to steep. After it cool down, throw out the tea bag. Meantime, take 3 strawberries wash and cut the top. If you have enough strength mash them through a sieve (should work for raspberry) or make a puree and strain the seeds out. Once tea is cooled add the puree, and zest of lemon juice. Add few ice cubes and enjoy right away the fruity tea!

For Fruit juice Popsicle: It is fun when u do with ur kid! Take any fresh juice fill the mold half way, cover with plastic wrap and let sit in freezer for 1 hour or until they are firm on top. Now take another flavor of juice and fill the mold and insert the stick. I used some freshly orange juice and grape juice! I am sending to couple of events my fruity iced tea and fruity Popsicle.
