Fried Egg

Fried Egg

Egg is the handiest side dish for non-vegetarian lover. It can be prepared in many ways: to scrambled egg, to egg curry, rice, etc. What a versatile item in the cooking world. This fried egg goes well with Rasam, sambar or even curd rice. This egg is made with hard-boiled egg.

For dummies:

For making hard-boiled egg: Place the egg in pot of cold water and place it in the stovetop. When the water starts to boil let it cook for 8 to 10 min and switch off the stove.

Note: add little salt in water (in case if the shell breaks - you will not loose your egg in the water)

Ingredients

Egg: 4 (hard boiled egg)
Oil: 1tsp

Masala to be grind as a coarse paste:

1/2 onion
1/2 tomato
Cumin:1 tsp
Red chili powder: 1 tsp
Salt:1/4 tsp
Curry leaves: few

Steps

  1. Halve the egg apply the masala.
  2. Heat a pan add the oil and place the egg with masala . Fry in medium heat.
Enjoy the fried egg with rice.

Variation: Don' t have time to make masala. Mix Chili powder and salt apply to the egg and follow the step 2.

Tip: while frying, the egg can blast so better to cover with lid and maintain the medium or low flame.
