Leftover rice turned into Fried rice

Vegetable Fried rice

Veg fried rice
Got some leftover rice or really want some veggie loaded rice. Little twist from the traditional style, the soy sauce has been omitted in this recipe. The preparation time is less than 10 minutes, of course if you have the rice and veggie ready!
Rice: 1 cup of cooked rice
Oil or butter: 1 tsp
Salt: as per your taste

Carrot, cabbage, capsicum red and green: 1 to 2 -cups julienne* cut
Green onion: ¼ cup
Green chilies: 2 to 3 depend your heat level (minced finely) or white pepper Powder: 1 tsp
Ginger: ½ tsp grated

Heat the wok with butter or oil and add the ginger and chilies
Next add the julienne cut veggies and sauté in high heat
Finally add the rice and mix 1 or 2 minutes
*Julienne cut: Vegetable cut like matchstick.
Note: think the rice need a kick off add some dash of hot sauce. Can be substituted by any vegetable of your choice.
Variation: Add some scrambled egg or cooked chicken (left over grilled or tandoori chicken) to turn into non-vegetarian.
