Snacks just appear once in a while in my house. Yes, weekdays, we finish our dinner before 7 pm, so that let any room to snack or teatime!
But the weekend, it is quiet an opposite story, we don’t relay on our clock, just wake up at any time, skip the breakfast, go and fix a lunch with leftover food from the previous day. But, the evening, we will be looking for a snack to munch around. But again, it is weekend; I don’t like to slave for hours to do something luxurious or complicated! And if you do have kid who just sticks for potato fries and think it is only "yummilicious" snack available in earth! Well you are in trouble to convince him and prepare a challenging snack!
I got this pretty quick healthy fries recipe here. But I shallow fried just for the event. They are just perfect to satisfy everyone around. My little one loved the crispy new fries made with zucchini.
Zucchini: 2
Egg:1 egg white
Milk: ¼ cup
Parmesan cheese grated: ½ cup
Breadcrumb: 1 /2 cup
Hot sauce: a dash (totally optional) but I added to bring up some flavor.
Method:
Cut the zucchini into 3-inch sticks.
Whisk the egg white & milk together with hot sauce
Mix the Parmesan cheese and breadcrumb, keep it in a plate
Dip the zucchini in wet ingredients and roll in breadcrumb
Shallow fry:
Heat a pan with a teaspoon of oil and fry them until they turn golden brown in medium heat.
Bake them
In a cookie sheet, spray some oil, arrange those zucchini and bake at 425° for 20 to 30 minutes
You have something Healthy to fill until your next meal. Doesn’t take much time to prepare also.
The snack will be for the Sunday snacks event-Fry it hosted by Hima.
For dieter who cannot give up their french fries, it is a great alternative. It fit the Diet food event hosted by Divya.
Have a great weekend!

zucchini fries look yummy, if we make it without the egg, will it still be the same. I just bought zucchini at the grocery store yday, so will try out this weekend.
