Announcing Microwave Easy Cooking

Starting of this year, Srivalli approached me if I could host her MEC event. Without much hesitation, I accepted and she blocked December for me. I had enough time to prepare myself to host my first event after two years of blogging!

I got to admit after participating her MEC events. My "under-utilized" microwave is no longer for reheating my leftover and for preparing  my cup of coffee. If you are not afraid of trying new things and venture this appliance.

I invite you to join my first event MEC: Festive Foods.

Some festivals list: Karthigai Deepam (Festival of lights for Tamilian- tomorrow),  Navratri, Diwali (festival of lights for Hindus), Eid Ul Fitr (Muslim Holiday), Muharram (Muslim New Year- 18th Dec), Hannukah (Jewish Holiday Dec 12th to 19th), Kwanzhaa begins Dec 26th to Jan 1 rst ( a week long celebration honoring African culture and heritage), Christmas (Christian Holiday) and many more....

Some microwave festive food ideas: cake, fudge, mixed nuts, snacks, main course, side dish, gravy, chocolate dessert, drinks, sweets, etc... It depends upon you! Never forgot the rule everything should be cooked in microwave and should have a Festive touch!

Here are the participation details :

1. Cook  anything related to Festive (Festival) Foods for the event. The entire cooking has to be done in the microwave. You can use food processor for grinding but no stove top cooking. I gladly accept Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian entries.

2. Entries posted from today onwards between Dec 31rst 2009 is acceptable.

3. Send me your entries to Spiceclub@hotmail.com with the following details

4. Please use the event logo if possible. Your entry post should contain a link to this event announcement and Srivalli's MEC Announcement.

5. Multiple entries are welcome. If any of your previous  festive posts qualify for this theme, you can send them, but it should be re posted with the link to the event announcement.

6. Non-bloggers are invited to participate in the event. You can mail me your recipe and a photograph of the dish to the mail id mentioned above.
