One the most anticipated event in food blogosphere, Click event hosted by the duo couple Jai & Bee. After a short break, the event is up this month with a vibrant Theme: RED.
Got to admit, this event drives you crazy and makes you click whatever you see in your kitchen. You end up with many shots and sat in front of your monitor, scratching your head for hours to pick one. But it is fun! It is not matter of winning just participating for me. When the winners are announced, the pictures will be mind-blowing! Seeing those winners pictures, I decide I should not participate to this event anymore but it is kind of New Year resolutions.
This time, I fixed my mind with red chilli , one of the key ingredient in Indian cooking. Here comes my click with Fresno Red Chilli pickle with curd rice. The recipe belongs to Sra’s pandumirpakaya pachadi! Little bit of this fiery Red chilli pickle will fume your tongue for hours! But that is the way we love to eat! Thank you Sra!

Go Nuts nothing to do with click event!
The snack said: it is low calorie & low fat but they forgot to mention is High in Sodium. Got to tell the original recipe call for salted peanuts and 1 ½ tsp of
black salt! But I had only unsalted roasted peanuts, I added 1 tsp salt + ½ tsp black salt, result they came out salty! So it is better to reduce the salt amount to 1/4 tsp, I am giving the recipe with modified salt amount! Recipe adapted from Tarla Dalal microwave cooking.
Ingredients:
Roasted unsalted Peanuts: ½ cup
Besan flour/Bengal gram flour: 1/2 cup
Red chilli powder: 1 tsp
Fennel /sombu powder: 2 tsp
Salt: ¼ tsp
Black salt: ¼ tsp
Oil: 1 tbsp
Water: 2 tbsp
Oil: for spraying
Method in microwave:
Spray little oil in a microwave safe plate.
In mixing bowl add the peanuts and all the ingredients. You will end up with thick sticky peanuts with batter.
Drop the peanuts in greased plate; make sure each peanut are separate (this part needs lots of patience)!
Microwave for 2 minutes.
Let it cool completely and store in airtight container.
*Sending my masala peanuts to Let’s Go nuts event hosted by Aquadaze
*Fennel gives a wonderful touch for this snack and make it more aromatic, sending to Think spice:Fennel seeds hosted by Ivy with an exception of two spices this month: I am really unaware of Mastic gum :(- event originated by Sunita.
Have a great weekend!
